Montana Guides Christmas List with Guide Zach Williams

Zach is a new guide for both the store and in Montana. He attended guide school last year and worked the entire 24 season as a fly shop employee. Like many guiding was his driving passion in the industry. He made the move to guide this past summer and still worked part time in the store. He is a rising star in our guide world and reviews from guests this season were awesome. He is a southern boy and hates the cold. So, in the winter he heads back down south to the warm weather. He is convinced he will freeze to death if he has to survive a winter in Montana. His Christmas list shows his youth and has a strong influence from an upcoming trip to Belize he is taking with his father.

His first item is the perfect stocking stuffer. The Orvis Convertible Mitts Zach is always cold especially during spring and fall fishing. He loves these because he can fold out the mitts to keep his fingers warm and then tuck the mitts in and they become fingerless gloves for fishing.

His second item on his Christmas List is the Fish Pond Pescador Large Fly Box. Zach is headed to the salt to fish Belize this winter and he wants to make this box his dedicated saltwater box. ” With the gaskets and magnets it is waterproof and keeps close. It keeps your flies nice and dry”. We hope Santa brings you this box and your Belize adventure is a success.

Third, Zach loves the Riversmith Pack it Out Bag. At only $49 this might just be the perfect day bag for solo adventures. He loves ” In the back it extends into a trash bag where you can put all the trash from your day and pack it out”. ” It also has plenty of room for keys, wallet and a small fly box for a day exploring”

Next, Zach is asking Santa for a Fish Pond Nomad Middle Fork Net At $179 it is the highest priced item on his list. He loves this net because ” it lasts a lifetime with the carbon fiber and it is super durable”. If the fisherman on your list is looking for a new net you can not go wrong with the Middle Fork Net or any net from Fish Pond.

Lastly, Zach is looking for the Grundens Trident Rain Jacket. These super light 100% waterproof jackets are popular with the guides. Zach likes it because ” it is super light and durable and i am going to take it to the salt, it will not take up much room and keep me dry”.
