Music in the Park is a summer staple in Ennis. Every Thursday evening, locals and visitors gather at Peter T’s Park with lawn chairs, kids, dogs, and picnic dinners to enjoy live music in the open air.

Fourth of July in Ennis & Virginia City

The Fourth of July is one of the biggest weekends of the year in the Madison Valley. The parade rolls right down Main Street, followed by a community picnic at Peter T’s Park. The rodeo brings classic Western energy, and the day wraps up with fireworks in nearby Virginia City when conditions allow.

Fishing early and celebrating later is the name of the game this weekend. July fishing can be excellent early in the day, and the rest of the time is best spent soaking in the atmosphere.

Madison Valley Arts Festival

Hunters Feed

As fall settles in, Ennis hosts the Hunters Feed—a long-standing tradition celebrating hunting season and the community that comes with it. Awards follow at Willie’s Distillery, then Critter Call and live music take over Main Street.

October also happens to be an excellent time for fall fly fishing, especially for anglers looking for fewer crowds and bigger browns.
