Private Fly Fishing Lessons

  • Two-Day Instruction: Offers a more complete approach to refine your skills and learn more advanced fly fishing techniques
  • Third-Day Float Trip: Enjoy fishing from the perspective of a drift boat and put your new skills to the test on the Madison River

Free Fly Fishing 101

  • Advanced booking is recommended
  • Lessons are offered free of charge
  • Please give advanced notice of large parties
  • Lessons at The Tackle Shop begin at 10 a.m. and last 1.5 hours
  • Takes place every Monday, Wednesday and Friday
  • Orvis Endorsed guides will teach you the basics of fly casting, including basic fly selection and knot tying
  • If you are unable to attend one of the designated lessons, a private course for your group may be scheduled free of charge
