It looks like we are going to have some great weather this weekend on the Madison river. The river is still running clear and is fishing pretty well. Wade anglers have been having success around Valley Garden and the Three Dollar Bridge area. Nymphing and dead drifting small streamers seem to be the most productive but there has been some dry fly action on the upper river above the Lyons Bridge area.

Well we are waste deep into the first week of spring. The fishing on the Madison River here near Ennis has been pretty good. Most of the fishing access site and boat launches are in good condition with the exception of Lyons and Pallisades which are both still snowed in. The Madison River has been fishing well this week. We have experienced some great floating opportunities from Varney bridge to Town. Midges and worms seem to be the staples for the fishes diet right now but Skwalla nymphs and Blue wing olive patterns are also starting to get some action.
