Ennis Lake is frozen solid right now and there is not much fishing to be had. If your an ice fisherman get after it. We believe that ice fishing is a drinking sport so bring plenty of beer. The river above the lake is frozen and gourged up to above Ennis. Stay away from this area at the moment. The river ice is extremely dangerous.

Fishing report for the Madison River Ennis Montana April 14th 2017. The river as a whole has been fishing fairly well. It is still mostly a nymphing game with worm and egg patterns still being the most productive. but the water temperatures have started to reach the high 40's through out the day.
