Montana Guides Christmas List with Guide James “Jim Bob” Terry
Long time Montana and Tackle Shop fly fishing guide Jim Bob Terry is a cornerstone to our guide team. He has been with us for many years and has proven himself on the river and and with guests. His Southern Boy relaxed style and ability to put people on fish make him a favorite. With as many days on the water as Jim Bob has some strong opinions form on what gear is worth it and what is not. This Christmas he is looking for a few things that will help out his winter pursuit. He is spending the winter on the Texas coast chasing redfish and fun. He is asking Santa for gifts that will help him not only in Montana but in Texas.
Jim Bob’s stocking stuffer item is the Dr Slick Cyclone Nipper. This does not break the bank and is only $25. As Jim Bob says “a quality nipper and you will not cry if you loose it.”
Secondly he is looking to get the Grundens Deck Boss Sandal For a guy looking for the endless summer and warm weather a good pair of flips are a necessity. He says ” they are super comfy and the sea deck foot bed grips your feet”
Third, Jim Bob would love to have a new sun hat and loves the Department of Fly Culture Straw Hat. ” If you know me, i get burned really easy in the sun and constantly pealing. I need to wear a hat like this to not get burned and need to make sure to wear it every day”.

Lastly, his big ticket item he is hoping santa delivers is the Helios D Fly Rod in 10 wt. While most trout fisherman do not need a 10 wt Jim Bob will be chasing Redfish all winter long the the big rod is needed. He loves this rod in the trout weights and could not think of going after big fish without one.
