Madison River fishing report 3-22-18

Well we are waste deep into the first week of spring. The fishing on the Madison River here near Ennis has been pretty good. Most of the fishing access site and boat launches are in good condition with the exception of Lyons and Pallisades which are both still snowed in. There are a lot of midges coming off but there hasn't been a lot of fish looking up. Dry fly fishing has been good around Valley Garden and the Reynolds pass areas when the wind is calm. Nymphing in the afternoons will be the most productive way to put fish in the net.
