Madison River Fishing Report 4-20-18

It looks like we are going to have some great weather this weekend on the Madison river. The river is still running clear and is fishing pretty well. Wade anglers have been having success around Valley Garden and the Three Dollar Bridge area. Nymphing and dead drifting small streamers seem to be the most productive but there has been some dry fly action on the upper river above the Lyons Bridge area.

Dries

Para Midge, Crystal Midge and Griffiths gnat. small Purple haze, Para BWO, Sparkle Dun Bow and BWO munchkin

Nymphs

Pats Rubberlegs olive and Brown, Hogans Military May Olive, Delektable Twinkle Miracle, RS2 Gray, CDC Prince, Silver Lighting Bugs and Black Zebra Midges

Streamers

Sparkle Minnows in Silver or gold, Shelia Sculpins, Sculpin The One and Trevor Sculpins in olive and Black
