Ennis Lake Fishing Report 3/12/21

The Flooded Hayfield is Still Frozen

Callibaetis and Gulper’s are everywhere on Ennis Lake! Just kidding, the lake is still completely frozen and we are still a month or two away from ice out. Until then, fishing on the Madison is hot and will only keep getting better as the water temps continue to increase. Not into the river scene and dreaming of throwing dries on Ennis Lake? Well nows as good a time as any to drink beer, tie flies, and watch some college basketball. Ice fishing has been productive; however, with all of this warm weather things on top of the ice are getting pretty soupy. Ice depths vary so make sure you know before you go.
