Madison river fishing report 9-2-2017

Fishing on the Madison river hasn’t changed a whole lot since last week. Hoppers and ants are still your best bet for dry fly action. the nymph fishing is still doing quite well and streamer fishing with olive and white sculpin patterns are starting to be pretty productive as well. we are seeing some nice browns being caught around the town of Ennis and showing some pre spawn activity. The three dollar bridge area is still a great place to wade fish, approach the river carefully up there though the fish can be pretty spooky at times.
